the libs here either dont read between the lines or are cognitively dissonant to the fact that criminals by definition will never abide by gun control legislation, but law abiding citizens will be disarmed by following the laws, thus, the victims of crime will be disarmed, making the criminals job, that much more easier. the massacre at Vtech could have been stopped, had the citizens there been allowed to practice their own 2nd amendment rights, and been allowed to conceal carry and lawfully defend themselves, instead of relying on the state to defend them.

Gun laws will not protect us from thugs, crooks, rapists and murderers. Va Tech had policies against gun totally, for any reason whatsoever and it did not protect any of them hurt or killed.
No gun was used in the 911 attacks or the Oklahoma bombing. Most crimes do not involve guns. There is no reason that citizens should be able to protect themselves ANYWHERE.
I would like to see every bank, government building, school, business, who ever wants to have a manned old fashioned Gatlin gun in the lobby. (That's just my favorite, alot of other types would do the same thing) I wish we would kick every liberal judge in the country off the bench and put some real men in charge of the prisons. And every loud mouth liberal who starts screeching about civil rights could be thrown in with them for a week to see if they might change their view a little. I am so sick of what they are doing to my country.
Because they feel they have nothing to lose. I say let them lay their welfare on the line. Produce a valid contract that they sign and notarize that will turn over all of their worldly goods that they have now and will ever hope to have in the future to the persons immediate family if that person is killed with a firearm that a criminal has come into illegal possession of after the victim has given up their firearms and I'll dump mine.
They won't because they know that banning firearms will not help even a little bit. Hypocrites all of them; too afraid to defend themselves so they want everybody else to not be able to....you know, cower in the corner and join their disgusting crowd.

Maybe because they think guns have a supernatural ability to turn anyone into a criminal. They probably think that the criminals are going to turn in their guns too. Also they don't realize that police have no duty or obligation to protect individuals.

Gun control advocates want sanity checks done on those who want to purchase a gun.
There are those on the left (and extreme left) that want to abolish the second ammendment, however they are in the minority.

As a liberal I can clearly see that Hezbollah wants us to have stricter gun laws.
One can only assume the advocates of new gun laws must have duel citizenship.

I don't support gun control, but I also know how to defend myself without a gun. It's not hard to learn. It just takes commitment and practice - kinda like marriage!
