How could i control psoriasis on my scalp.i am female and its pretty embarassing,i have it around my face 2?

i am south african so please could i get remedies that could be found in my country. How could i control psoriasis on my scalp.i am female and its pretty embarassing,i have it around my face 2?
Scalp psoriasis is usually scaly and the scale may be thick and adherent. This requires softening with an emollient ointment, cream or oil and usually combined with salicylic acid as a keratolytic. Some preparations for the scalp combine salicylic acid with coal tar or sulphur. These are available as proprietary products. It should be used in the quantities advised and left on for at least an hour and preferably overnight, before washing it off. If a cortisone lotion or gell is used, it can be used in the morning. Two names come to mind - Ionil shampoo and Diprosalic. Care should be taken with the latter as it contains betamethasone esters which may cause adrenal supression if more than 100 grammes of a 0路1% solution are used in a week.

Tacrolimus ointment is efficacious in treating psoriasis on face and intertriginous areas

Tacrolimus ointment and pimecrolimus cream have been used for treatment of atopic dermatitis. Tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are both calcineurin inhibitors and function as immunosuppressants, both with and without occlusion and successful results have been noted. I do not know if these preparations are available in South Africa, you would need to seek advice from your doctor and pharmacist.

Hope this helps

You need to get a prescription shampoo.
