If i wash my face with warm water only will this help control acne?!...do i use a moisturizer?! and which one?

According to my dermatologist, washing with a good soap and warm water will help. The warm water is important (despite what other answerer's here say) because it helps to open up your pores, which helps the soap to more effectively clean them out, which helps prevent the acne.

If you have much of an issue, I would suggest going to a dermatologist. Insurance will usually pay for it, and they can get it cleared up way, way better than anything you can get over the counter. If i wash my face with warm water only will this help control acne?!...do i use a moisturizer?! and which one?
Warm water is definitely not enough. You can try Cetaphil (it's really mild though, so does not help control shine), Avene, or just simply BodyShop's tea tree oil face wash.

And yes, you need a moisturizer. Whoever said moisturizers are only for those with dry skin?! Even oily skins need moisturizer because it helps seal water into the top layers to keep the skin soft and supple. However, choose a light, water-based one that's non-comedogenic. I use Clarins Protective Day lotion SPF 20 - I love it.

Lastly, you can consult a dermatologist for topical creams to reduce the acne, and lighten the marks (I don't exactly trust over-the-counter ones). Drink plenty of water, exercise and get enough sleep. Good luck!If i wash my face with warm water only will this help control acne?!...do i use a moisturizer?! and which one?
personally, i think the best thing you can do for your skin is to keep the use of chemicals to the bare minimum. i keep my break outs of acne under control by washing my face with water mostly during the week and only washing my face with organic soap about 3 times a week. when i moisturise, i use 100% natural cocoa butter on the drier areas of my skin. this allows your skin to heal itself without being bombarded with a cocktail potentially harmful chemicals. of course it goes without saying that you should try to adopt a healthy diet. try to drink warm water not hot water as this will make the skin less oily. i dont think it is neccessary to drink 8 glasses of water a day unless you can handle it. drink only if your body is telling you it needs it, otherwise your overworking your kidneys if your filling you body with too much liquid.

this works for me and i hope it works for you too!.
Well, warm water opens up your pores, and cold water closes them and makes them smaller, so when your washing your face, use warm water.

But splash cold water on your face atleast every day, and it should help.

And the moisturizer depends on what kind of skin you have, oily, normal, or dry, and how much acne you have on your face now.

hope i helped you (:
Don't use a moisturizer because you have acne because your face is oily which means it is TOO moisturized. You should use something to dry out your skin... you could use a LIGHT moisturizer such as Neutrogena Oil-Free Anti-Acne Moisturizer or something else as long as it says Oil-Free!!! If it's not oil free you will just be giving your skin more acne. Wash your face in the mornings and use oxypads or some type of acne alcohol pads before bedtime. It doesn't matter if you use warm or cold water.
No, try washing with warm water and a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil. The small bottle (which last 3 or 4 months with twice daily regular use) costs less than $6 at Target. It won't dry your skin out or irritate it, and it will feel clean and fresh. Try a gentle toner like Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner, this will help deep clean and shrink the appearance of pores. Then a moisturizer like Neutrogena's 45 spf moisturizer. This a decent skin care regimen that wont cost over $20 and is all very gentle for any type of skin.

DO NOT use products with ALCOHOL! It will dry out your skin, then confuse it, which will make it over produce oil, which will lead to more acne. Moisturizing is key.

Drink that water instead, it's not good to wash your face more than 2 times a day and if your acne is bad, go to a doctor, THEY KNOW. Thats pretty much the most reliable way to battle acne. Good luck.
i use clearasil ultra for my acne once a day.

(you are supposed to twice, but i dont have bad acne)

and then clean%26amp;clear day moisturizer with spf 15.
No

for your acnes: use it with warm water and with proactive or other products that can heal acnes

a moisturizer is for dry skin only

:D

Cleaning with water only will not clean the pores, use a facial soap and a acne control moisturizer.
no it doesnt do anything but wash away the dirt.....but try this Neutrogena bar of soap ....its actually made for acne....and then get a moisturizer that is not to oily ...like one with spf15 or something
No you have to clean your face using a product or soap, and you should buy some topical cream to control it.
